As they release their third studio album, British-Italian psych-pop band Vanarin unveil their seventh single of the year, What We Said.
Vanarin – What We Said
Formed in July 2016, Vanarin is a psych-pop band featuring David Paysden, Marco Sciacqua, Massimo Mantovani, and Marco Brena. Known for their captivating blend of psych-pop and rock, the group crafts an ethereal soundscape that pulls listeners into its vibrant, immersive atmosphere.
To date, Vanarin has released two EPs and three full-length albums—Overnight (2018), Treading Water (2022) and What We Said (2024) Their live performances have exceeded 150 shows, including appearances at several European festivals such as MI AMI Festival, Siren Festival, and Radio Onda D’Urto, as well as stages in Asia at Zandari Festa and LUCFest.
Their extensive performance experience has allowed Vanarin to open for renowned bands like Battles, Public Image Ltd, and Yellow Straps. Recently, they were recognized as one of the top UK artists on the Selector Radio show with Sian Eleri, curated by the British Council, and featured on BBC6’s New Music Fix with Deb Grant and Tom Ravenscroft, spotlighting some of the best music today.
In 2024, Vanarin made a remarkable return by releasing six captivating singles, showcasing their unwavering passion and creative drive. To close the year, the band unveils What We Said, a psychedelic ballad that reflects on a love destined to unravel, with lyrics steeped in the lingering questions of words spoken in moments of fragility.
Enhanced by ethereal arrangements, layered vocal effects, and captivating harmonies, What We Said stands out with its rich production. The song’s fusion of psych and rock creates an unconventional yet compelling listening experience that engages the senses.
