Born in the UK with American and Jamaican heritage, StudioWyz is an emerging figure in the UK’s rap game. His first three singles Sip, Top shelf, and No Drop all released this year provide a fitting introduction to this young MC.
Despite only launching this year StudioWyzz has already amassed over half a million streams on Spotify. No Drop, his first and most successful track to date with over a million views on TikTok, features a beautiful and soft piano-based beat only topped by his cutting, bullet-speed rhymes, with a short yet memorable duration of one and a half minutes.
From its hazy and playful production with layered vocal effects, Top Shelf stands out thanks to StudioWyzz’s highly emotional songwriting and effective performance.
Sip is the most atmospheric tune of the three, with a dreamy, jazzy sample in the background, serving as the perfect conduit for this rapper’s volatile delivery.
Talking about music StudioWyzz explains…
“When I hear a new song and I get a feeling of interest as a result of fast liking to it, I find myself wanting to play it repeatedly daily and just generally all the time. I want my music to have that effect on listeners when they listen to it.”
This triplet of singles evokes the hardness of Drill and the reflective side of StudioWyzz to create a formidable sound that pours with authenticity.
StudioWyzz is already proving to the world that he is ready for the big leagues, we look forward to watching his star rise in 2023.
