Dunfermline newcomers Stay For Tomorrow have just released their latest energy-packed pop-punk gem Lipstick Lips.
Stay For Tomorrow – Lipstick Lips
Consisting of Joe MacFarlane (guitar/vocals), Nic Holson (lead guitar), Sean Priestley (drums), and Ollie Cobbett (bass), the four-piece Stay For Tomorrow has made some waves since its formation in 2018.
Their undisputed talent has taken them to play at recognized venues in their naive Scotland, such as PJ Molloy, Sneaky Pete’s, and King Tut’s Wah Wah Hut.
Their music style is definitely on the eclectic side, having influences that go from Foo Fighters to Twin Atlantic, which explains their ability to perform in many different genres. This time, this outfit has chosen to focus on a more Pop-Punk approach for their brand new track Lipstick Lips.
The inspiration behind this work goes hand to hand with their overall aesthetic. This is what the band had to say about this rebellious piece:
“a story of a self-assertive person retaliating at their ex with a loud, middle-finger message that they will never find anyone that compares to them. Despite their best attempts to move on, anyone else they find is nothing special. “All you’ll find are the lipstick lips and the stereotypes.”
Crunchy guitars, wild drums, subtle trumpets, and a highly contagious, melodic chorus are the elements that this banger brings to the table. All these ingredients combined will take you back to the late 90s and early 2000s, reminiscing iconic bands from those days like The Mighty Mighty Bosstones and Reel Big Fish.
Lipstick Lips is an absolute blast, fun, vibrant, and with a nostalgic charm attached to it.
Stay For Tomorrow are really good at keeping their fans guessing, testing the waters, and composing music that will please younger and older fans. With such a diverse collection of songs, just time will tell what these skilled fellas will do next.
