StarAce, are a trio of brothers from Sao Paulo, Brazil who are ready to leave their mark with their first official single, Mystical Cat, a cautioning composition with all the power and attitude of Brazilian rock.
StarAce – Mystical Cat
Comprised of brothers Julio (guitar/vocals), Luiz (bass), and Thomaz (drums) StarAce started in a living room when this triplet of siblings were just kids.
In their formative years, music became a constant presence in their lives, introducing them to a wide range of artists, which includes The Foo Fighters, The Police, The Carpenters, Kiss, and Iron Maiden, to name a few. Such a unique mixture of sounds plays a vital role in their timeless sonic style, which blends old and new surprisingly well. Fans of Dire Straits will enjoy Mystical Cat.
Previously known as the Ted Marengos, they spent many years playing in the Brazilian rock scene, not to mention their tours in the UK and the USA. They also released three studio albums that were received positively by critics and fans.
On top of all that, they had two of their singles played at two of Sao Paulo’s most-recognized radio stations, and their music videos got featured in Multishow, Bis, and Music Box Brazil.
With such an enviable curriculum, the StarAce brothers are ready to take the next step with the single Mystical Cat. Regarding this melody, this is what the band had to say about it:
“The message can be just a reason for the listener to think about their desires and misconceptions towards another person who is playing with your emotions and expectations.”
From the get-go, its well-crafted retro vibes grab your attention, fully displaying the previously mentioned influences. Julio’s soaring vocals are a nostalgia-charged trip that finds its perfect match in the illustrious guitar passages and steady drums.
“Mystical Cat is both a flawless debut and a superb showcase of musicianship.”
StarAce’s debut is a formidable composition that will appeal to both old and new rock fans due to its many absorbing elements. Overall this release proves that when South America wants to rock, they do it big time!
