Fresh from their participation at the Welcome to Europe Song Contest, Berlin-based band Sector 5 has delivered a joyful track called Move To London, which carries a strong, positive message.
Sector 5 – Move To London
Formed by brothers Mika (guitar/vocals) and Sami (drums), this up-and-coming outfit became a four-piece with the addition of Johann (guitar) and Jules (bass) during their time studying at the BIMM University in Berlin.
After cutting their teeth performing at local clubs in their native city like Lido, Cassiopeia, Gretchen, and Heimathafen Neukölln, Sector 5 felt like it was about time to take the next step to propel their career even further and show what they’re capable with the rest of the world, their latest tune might be the most appropriate way to do so.
Even though the name of this track is Move To London, the lyrics depict a wish to travel all over Europe, with the main message being that there is too much suffering and stress in the world and we should concentrate on the positive things that life has to offer, highlighting values such as equality and solidarity.
And to get this important message across, this talented group has created a terrific soundscape to complement it, with candy-sweet hooks, a funky bassline, and soaring vocals, concordantly morphing into a formidable pop-rock anthem.
“Move To London is an energizing musical shot of optimism.”
Despite this rising band’s youth, they already have made heads turn in their native Berlin, amassing a good chunk of experience performing live, in addition to podcast features and radio appearances. All this has set the stage for the release of their forthcoming EP, a record that certainly will add more hype for this thrilling pop-rock act.
