Irish alternative singer Saige has premiered the third single from her EP Sparks. Discover ‘Emulsify’ an otherworldly, dreamy auditive experience.
Saige – Emulsify
Despite being a new face on the independent circuit, Saige has already received national radio support and has some sold-out shows under her belt. She was also named #1 artist of 2022 by The Last Mixed Tape Blog and Hot for 2021 by Hotpress Magazine.
Being the ultimate embodiment of chillness, her newest track features a soothing production with rich and colourful textures, Saige’s hypnotizing, warm vocal delivery evokes a feeling of calmness equivalent to watching an ASMR video. The overall heavenly atmosphere of this composition is like a dream sequence where you are a cloud, floating safely into a pleasant new world.
If you are like me, and you are not necessarily the most well-versed person in chemistry, fear not, because here is Saige explaining what Emulsify is and how it relates to this beautiful melody:
“I get a lot of people asking me about the song title. When two liquids emulsify, they don’t fully become one liquid – they’ll mix well together – but if you look very closely some particles of them both remain separate – much like people in relationships. I like that idea. We’d joke about us melting onto the couch together, and the song inspiration just went from there.”
Gracefully written, Emulsify is a satisfying aural trip romantic to the core.
With this new offering, Saige has reached a level of emotional sincerity that not many rising artists can develop this early in their careers, perfectly depicting heartfelt scenarios through the power of well-rounded songwriting.
This only makes us more excited to discover what her next sonic venture will be like.
