We’re big fans of Retriever, first featuring them on the RCM blog in 2011 so you can imagine our excitement when we discovered new material. ‘Come On’ delivers a high-octane blast of indie excitement, exactly what we love about the band. There’s intensity and a twang of dark menace guaranteed with every listen.
The track was recorded in Room3Recordings Sunderland with Neil Bassett from Hyde and Beast back in October. Since swapping their drum machine for Fintan on drums (he used to be in Cult Image) the band have written a set of new material and will be releasing a new 4 track EP in April.
‘Come On’ is taken from the EP and is their first material as a four piece. It’s available as a free download from their Soundcloud (see below) and Bandcamp sites right now.
