If I’m totally honest, when I hear the words ‘rock and roll band’ I get slightly
nervous! The reasons for this are not quite clear to me, but nevertheless I feel
apprehensive before listening to a band described as rock and roll. However, after listening to The Craven Braves debut single Rough Diamond, my anxiety was futile. Clearly I am not the only one affected by their first impressions, Gary Powell (The Libertines) signed the four boys to his label 25 Hour Convenience Store after seeing just one show.

Out on the 13th of February, their debut single is welcoming whilst raw, enticing yet ardent, composed yet intense; a solid and promising break into the industry. The track is full of passion and energy without overpowering or intimidating the listener. With characteristic guitar parts and distinctive vocals this band are an intriguing and exciting prospect and one can only hope the cool quartet retain their individuality in this ever-
increasing mainstream world.
You can catch The Craven Braves on the 8th, 15th, 17th of February and the
1st of March at various London venues. Find details on their Facebook page.
