Gearing up for their next EP release, Southampton quartet Myriad are dropping the fifth and final track, Move to LA.

Myriad Move to LA

Despite being an up-and-coming band, Southampton’s Myriad has achieved a lot in the past few years, including coverage from Indie Central, Left Bank Magazine, InTune Music, and RGM Magazine. They’ve also played multiple festivals and have a strong social media presence with over 70,000 followers on TikTok and 9,000 on Instagram.

Channeling all the positive and negative emotions that accompany a turbulent relationship, their latest track Move To LA revolves around fantasizing about the things one would do with a significant other if circumstances were more stable. The band cites Sundara Karma, Sea Girls, Pale Waves, and The 1975 as influences for this tune.

Right from the outset, this song sets the mood with vibrant guitar passages. This piece gleams like a spark in the midnight sky, featuring subtle yet colourful instrumentation that complements its heartfelt songwriting, making it an ideal soundtrack for contemplating and dreaming about what could have been.

“Move to LA comes as an energized, sonorous bop, highlighted by engaging lyrics and uplifting musicianship.”

Anticipation is building for Myriad’s upcoming 5-track EP, also titled Move to LA. In addition, the band is set to prove their prowess as a live act with a series of live shows. Don’t miss the opportunity to catch them live at any of their upcoming festival appearances listed down below:

  • 16th June – RagCity Festival
  • 21st June – Isle of Wight Festival

Their dynamic performances and captivating melodies make Myriad a must-see act this festival season. With their new EP on the horizon, the future looks bright.
