First featured on Right Chord Music as a Band of The Week back in 2012, we’re always excited to hear new music from Mt. Wolf. The band have just announced the release of a new EP ‘Red’ in April and a brand new track ‘Hamburg,’ the future looks bright once again.
Mt. Wolf ended up hitting the self-destruct button in late ’13, just as all things were pointing towards 2014 being a bloody great year for them- they’d rounded out the previous 12 months as one of the most blogged about artists of the year, with Radio spins from Radio 1, XFM & 6Music plus a spot on the UK Blog Sound of 2014 list with the likes of Wolf Alice and Marika Hackman to boot. The wheels eventually came off not long after their rammed Heaven show, when vocalist Kate Sproule announced her departure from Mt. Wolf to remaining band mates Stevie, Bassi & Alex. The three remaining members then pursued other musical projects with a certain degree of frustration, before reviving Mt Wolf. Decision vindicated.
