Following a five-year hiatus from music, Israeli-American artist Maki Supa has returned with a new EP called Noon to Nine, and a trilogy of well-rounded singles, including Inspirational Song #12.
Maki Supa – Inspirational Song #12
Previously in his career, Maki found relative success under the moniker Friends of John’s, releasing two albums with this alias from 2015 to 2017. It wasn’t until this year, and with a fully renewed artistic vision, that he returned as Maki Supa, premiering a brand new EP, and ready to take the world by storm.
For this EP called Noon to Nine, Maki joined forces with the talented producer Shai Saadia, who has over twenty years of experience crafting quality music. Together they have reached a new aural horizon, taking Maki’s capabilities to the limit.
The lack of engaging proposals in today’s music is one of the main reasons why Maki keeps creating his new style, as he elaborates:
“I’m not impressed by most things happening in music today, and think we have an image first culture… all in all, we have people who have never read a book writing lyrics, and other people who can’t tell a chord from a cord writing songs, so we shouldn’t be surprised that this is what we’re getting.’
Back in August, this skilled singer released Somewhere in Bretagne, the presentation card for his upcoming EP and also the first song of a planned trilogy of tracks set to be released this year, now it is turn for his second delivery of 2022, which is called Inspirational Song #12.
Inspirational Song #12 is very self-explanatory from its name, with lyrics that could motivate even the most pessimistic fellows. The instrumentation is an absolute delight, reaching a thrilling climax at the infectious chorus, embellished with Maki’s outstanding vocal performance.
Inspirational Song #12 embodies the “never give up” mentality through fantastic musicianship and its top-notch production.
With this comeback, Maki Supa has managed to reinvent himself, offering some of his best work, and even if the break was a bit too long, it’s safe to say the wait was totally worth it.
