If there is a song this year that defines empowerment, it’s Lissy Taylor’s new track Fierce, an indie rock banger about fighting for your dreams and keep holding on, even if everything seems lost.
Lissy Taylor – Fierce
2022 has become a defining year for Stoke-On-Trent native Lissy Taylor. Her tracks Young, She’s a Stunner, and Healer have received an overwhelmingly positive reception from fans and critics alike, helping cement Lissy as one of the most promising new artists on our radar.
Now it’s the turn of Fierce, her fourth single of the year. In Fierce Lissy proclaims she won’t back down and will rise back up after each fall, stronger than before.
Lissy explains the story behind the single:
“I bought a collection of poems written by women titled ‘Fierce’ and thought that I would make ‘Fierce’ my next single title, inspired by women in creative industries, changing the landscape of what has been done before. Inspired by ambition, determination, and unwavering self-belief. I started writing with the song title then I wanted a big chorus to match it, which seems to be a habit of mine.” Said Lissy.
Instrumentally speaking, Fierce honours its name, delivering a combo composed of punchy guitars, pulsating drums, and of course, Lissy’s fantastic vocals. All these elements build into a mind-blowing chorus and a cathartic outro.
In addition to this release, Lissy has also premiered a music video filmed at different locations where she has performed, including New York, Manchester, and her hometown Stoke.
Inspiring, touching, and an absolute blast, Fierce is the ultimate motivational anthem for all the broken spirits out there.
2022 might be ending but luckily, this is just the beginning for Lissy. Still, with more shows to come and a handful of singles prepared for 2023, you can bet that you will hear more of her in the foreseeable future.
