Bristol-based Kacey Who brings the summertime joy with his latest offering Candy Canes, a refreshing take on Trap with elements of R&B and Electronica that evidence the immeasurable skills of this up-and-coming performer.
Kacey Who – Candy Canes
Born and raised in Reading, Kacey got involved with music at an early age, writing songs pretty much through his entire life and starting producing at seventeen years old. Recently, he completed his degree in music production, demonstrating that he is more than prepared to take on anything this industry puts in front of him.
Candy Canes was created in less than sweet circumstances and was actually a by-product of the isolation experienced covid19 lockdowns. The track depicts the fun and good times that got lost during this period.
Further discussing his intentions with this song, Kacey Who explains:
“I wanted to invoke the summer feeling and reinvigorate the rays of sunshine through lyrical expression.”
And it’s safe to say he succeeded at recreating that spicy summer sensation thanks to the witty rhymes and playful production, which is an ideal soundtrack for a hot day at the beach. Kacey’s flow is laid back and exudes confidence, coming as a formidable Trap tune.
“Candy Canes is a flavoursome hip-hop melody and a one-way trip to a good time.”
Kacey Who’s music career is on the rise and with plans to expand his clothing brand 2211clothing as well as his production collective 2211beats. It seems like there is no limit to what this young entrepreneur can accomplish.
