We are delighted to announce new music champion Jodie Bryant has joined the RCM Indie Collective to help more incredible independent artists get heard and discovered.
Introducing Jodie Bryant
Jodie Bryant is fast building a reputation as the face of new music in the UK, with her ever-growing TikTok and radio presence. As a presenter with for shows on Radio 1 and BBC Introducing, Jodie has given debut radio plays to artists including Kat Penkin, Flo Gallop, and EVA. She is also the host (and often curator) of the Ned’s New Music Monday as well as ‘Soho Rising.’
Jodie was selected to host Future Pop on BBC Radio 1 and choose the ‘Class of 2023‘ – made up of the best new pop throughout the year. The show included Caity Baser, Dylan and Sam Tompkins.
Jodie also hosts and curates her own live night ‘Discover Live’ which is a showcase of the best new artists. Previous performers have included GLOWE, Mackenzie, Nia Chennai, Lex Gibbon and Nxdia who have also gone on to enjoy support on BBC Introducing and BBC Radio 1. Since launching, the event has gone on to collaborate with Soho House and Boxpark – and is a great place for artists to get industry recognition.
Jodie Bryant Joins Right Chord Music
Jodie Bryant will now be scouring the Right Chord Music submissions database writing reviews of the best new music she discovers as well as scouting talent for future Discover Live events and her playlists.
The RCM Indie Collective
The RCM Indie Collective was created by the Right Chord Music Blog to help promote more incredible independent artists.
We allow unsigned and independent artists to pick up promotional support from our network of partner Blogs, Podcasts, Playlists and new music champions all from one free submission to Right Chord Music.
Music blog aggregation services are nothing new, but with SubmitHub and now Musosoup charging musicians just to submit their music, costs are spiralling.
“We wanted to create a service that gets back to the music, which is fairer and more accessible for everyone,” says founder Mark Knight. “With our service, the submission is free and you only pay for a guaranteed review or feature, there is no obligation to accept.”
Mark Knight continues to write reviews for free, but there are only so many reviews one person can write! To support more artists, Right Chord Music now employs a team of 20+ freelance writers this allows RCM to dramatically increase the number of reviews they can publish. A review on Right Chord Music with a freelance writer costs £6 with 100% going to the writer.
