“This song paints a portrait of a tortured artist much like Jan Wolkers’ famous novel Turkish Delight. It is about the desperation that can occur when you are up to your neck in your own filth. It is about my time living in Almere, the city is infamous for being terrible. Which was also my experience. I was barely hanging on to my sanity, and wanted only one thing: a waltz with my muse.”
