Alternative rock artist Jack Hyphen returns with Already Lost, a powerful addition to his diverse discography. The track showcases his signature blend of emotive, introspective storytelling that has become central to his sound.
Jack Hypen – Already Lost
Based in Manchester, Jack Hyphen is making a name for himself in the UK indie scene. His unique fusion of alternative rock, indie rock, and melodic acoustic influences has captivated listeners, defining both his studio recordings and engaging live performances.
Jack launched his solo career following the breakup of the Herefordshire indie/rock band Point Zero. He began by releasing acoustic singles that highlighted his strong vocals and exceptional songwriting abilities. In 2019, he expanded his sound by forming a full four-piece band, rounding out his musical vision.
With thousands of streams and a growing, dedicated fanbase, Jack’s career is on an upward trajectory. His latest release, Already Lost, marks his first single of the year. The song delves into themes of self-doubt, the search for clarity, and the internal struggle with misleading thoughts. While these themes resonate with many, Jack also reveals the personal inspiration behind the song:
“I really wanted guitars to drive this track, alongside some great harmonies and I think we achieved this. Already Lost was written at the time when I was making some big life decisions and this ignited an internal battle of what was the right or wrong choice. With many external opinions also adding to this stress, in this song I’m showing the turmoil that occurs when you do not know which voice, or voices, to listen to”.
Already Lost strikes a captivating balance between vibrant instrumentation and bold lyrics. However, its standout feature is the remarkable guitar work, ranging from catchy hooks to a satisfying solo, all of which perfectly complement Jack’s soaring vocal delivery.
“Already Lost is a rock track that offers something for everyone, whether you appreciate direct songwriting or an infectious, foot-tapping performance. Jack Hyphen delivers both with this release.”
