After a long absence, Portuguese based Fritz Kahn and The Miracles return with a brilliant new song called Believe taken from their album Jonah, The Whale
Fritz Kahn and The Miracles – Believe
Fritz Kahn is the pseudonym of Gonçalo Serras, a Portuguese musician born in 1976. At an early age Gonçalo developed a deep appreciation for music, this love set him on a path that would shape his musical career.
After an unpleasant experience with a teacher in the regional conservatory of Tomar, he decided to become a self-taught musician, learning to play the guitar, harmonica, and some basic notions of rhythm.
At the age of 23, he proceeded to teach jazz at the Hot Club of Portugal while also playing covers in some of the best bars in the capital.
Believe is an epic anthem for the underdog and the broken.
Following a series of releases over the last year to promote Jonah the Whale (the band’s most recent EP) Fritz premiered Believe, the name of his most recent single, this song is an ode to keep fighting even in the darkest times and when faith is wearing thin, this a theme that Gonçalo professes in his music constantly, the importance of having hope.
“I’m sure I can make it, I just have to believe…“
The emotional lyrics go hand to hand with the magistral production, Tiago Machado renowned producer and composer was the person in charge of the orchestration in this piece, the soft piano, and the violins in conjunction with Gonçalo’s melodious voice, make this tune an unforgettable experience.
Believe is part of Jonah the Whale, the first release of this project in almost 20 years, despite the time-lapse, it’s safe to say that the wait was worth it, with a more mature sound and top quality production, this is a work that you don’t wanna miss.
