With a knowing nod to the all-pervasive ‘product i range’ Bristol based, all-girl three-piece iDestroy signal their intent with debut single ‘Vanity Loves Me’ It’s the title track from their debut EP which is out now.
You can find it on iTunes, but why not give more money to the band, by visiting their own Big Cartel store where you can also grab a t-shirt.
Vanity Loves Me is a tongue-in-cheek testament to their DIY approach and captures the band’s more humorous side while simultaneously showing their punk rock influences. Lead singer Becky combines her riot grrrl roots with pop style sass, (Reminding us of Safron from Republica) while the gentle, almost polite drumming of Jenn Haneef is charming in a near Meg White way.
Perfectly formed at two minutes and eighteen seconds, the title track is a great introduction to the band. IDestroy have already built up a loyal following in their hometown, playing regularly in small but packed-out venues, catch them live yourself at one of the following upcoming shows.
