There just seems to be something exciting about girl-boy rock bands. White Stripes, The Kills and Blood Red Shoes have all occupied a special place in our heart and now we add newcomers Sally and Tom aka Pony and Trap to that illustrious list.
Last year they picked up the Marshall Award for best live performance at the National Student Music Awards, and this year the support and plaudits are coming in thick and fast from BBC Introducing and Edith Bowman at BBC Radio 1.

Their debut EP ‘Time To Engage’ was released at the start of this month and it’s the title track that has won our favour, helped in part by the ridiculously compulsive video, you won’t be able to look away. It’s like the Ting Tings turned up to 11. A combination of delicious guitar riffs and sing along vocals, as the title suggests it really is ‘Time To Engage’. This is the #FirstSignsOfLove.
The band will be following up this release with a second single from the current EP and two new singles and an EP in the Autumn while working on their debut album scheduled for a spring 2015 release.
