Featuring mesmerizing vocals and a smooth, upbeat rhythm, New Sin is the latest single by Swansea based artist, Eleri Angharad.
Taking a step away from her country roots sound, this latest track sees Eleri explore the more sultry, pop side to her music, telling the emotive story of two strangers at the start of a love affair. The track’s lyrics simply but perfectly capture the passion and intensity of new love, with great lines such as “the blood is getting restless under your skin.”
The listener is taken on a journey, meandering through soft, whisper-like vocals to an explosively heartfelt chorus. Speaking on New Sin, Eleri has said: “It’s a love lesson to characters that should know better. Does it become a one-night stand or blossom into something more? I’ll leave that for you to decide.”
Whilst 2020 has been a notoriously difficult year for the arts, Eleri is fighting back. In April 2020, she released her single Blank Walls, which has since racked up over 150,000 streams on Spotify alone. Eleri has also started her own social media company this year, called Mondaay Media, which aims to help other artists and small businesses thrive in these challenging times. In just the space of a year, Eleri has made significant achievements within the UK music scene, and frankly, we can’t wait to see what’s coming next.
