Connr releases ‘Dangerous’ an urban pop jam that has the sassy singer playfully flirting over an infectious hip-hop-flavoured beat.
Connr – Dangerous
Ferociously exuding pheromones, here comes Connr with her new single Dangerous. Fierce and catchy, the song wraps itself around an infectious hip-hop beat to describe a playful flirt.
Aware of her allure, the girl is kind enough to warn you of what you are getting into. “Maybe it’s obvious / That I’m no good for you”, she says teasingly, in her sexy, girlie voice, while the beat rages on, involving you in a web of seduction. This girl knows how to employ her every weapon to lure and snatch her victims.
Her vocals range from a sultry whisper backed up by a mysterious, lighter-than-air synth in the intro to a richer, fry-flavoured delivery in the chorus when the sound also bulks up into a fuller pop/hip-hop instrumental. Matching this progression, the lyrics also evolve from subtler words provocatively murmured at the beginning (“The space in between us is so intense”), before expanding into more daring territory in the chorus (“Come on and take the risk / Like you got nothing to lose”). The production spares no urban gangster flavour to spice up the catchy hooks, which is just fitting for its sassy lyrics.
Recorded in the Fame Studios in Muscle Shoals, Alabama, Dangerous is the second release taken from Connr’s upcoming EP. Her previous single got strong airplay on local radios Hot AC and PopPassion. The latter has expressed high expectations for the full release, which it claims has “enormous potential”. A self-proclaimed life-long music lover, Connr hails from Memphis, Tennessee, and has been a professional musician for a year and a half.
“The song marries a catchy pop/ hip-hop sound to teasing playful lyrics about flirtation, all delivered with irresistible gusto”.
