Following the success of debut album Built On Glass, Australia’s Chet Faker releases ‘1998’, on 28th July through Future Classic and Opulent.
Built on Glass, which came out early 2014 melds Faker’s luxurious RnB vocals with analogue instruments and sounds of early dance music. Last single ‘Talk is Cheap’ enjoyed extensive media support including BBC Radio 1 and BBC 6Music plays, plus the video has had over 2.5million views on YouTube. New single ‘1998’ pulsates with soul-fused vocals coupled with the sounds of early house records – bringing to the table substance with style, rather than style aching to be considered substance.

He has also been nominated for two Rolling Stone Awards for Best New Talent and Best Independent Release, winning Best Independent Release. His Flume collab, single ‘Drop the Game’ and Lockjaw EP, was certified Gold within weeks of its release and polled at #5 in the 2013 Hottest 100.
