Introducing Brother Sea
Based in the South West, Brother Sea are a Celtic-folk band made up of seven incredibly talented members: the acclaimed duo Harbottle and Jonas, award winning songwriters Kris Lannen and Richard Trethewey, the brilliant Annie Baylis, drummer Henry Cavender, and celloist Calum Ingram. Their music is like an adventure. It leads you through wonderful stories of heritage and folklore, and leaves you feeling completely mesmerized.
Brother Sea – Royal Parade
Recorded on a beautiful winter’s day in Port Isaac, Royal Parade, Brother Sea’s latest release, blends tranquil melodies with striking vocals, creating a Christmas track that leaves you feeling awestruck and inspired to help and care for others. With 2020 being an especially tough year for many, the track, written by Freya Harbottle, will help to support the homeless and housing charity Shelter.
The lyrics of Royal Parade are heartwarming and gorgeously crafted. With lines such as: “may you know the joy of the angels” and “there is joy in this house”, the track seeks to celebrate kindness, generosity, love and peace. Royal Parade serves as a reminder of the goodness of humanity, even during a time that has been difficult and challenging. It reminds us that better things are just around the corner, like a candle flickering in a dark and cold room.
