Breeze release their second single “Eyes Wide Open”, a laid back indie alt track that gives us all the right vibes. “Eyes Wide Open” is a song about losing someone you loved at your own hand, and instead of asking them to take you back, now having to deal with the fact that they are with someone else.
Breeze – Eyes Wide Open
The song is filled with brit indie-pop influences and recalls bands such as The Killers and Oasis The song starts off with strong guitar melodies that follow us throughout the entire track. Lead vocals are easy to listen to and easy to understand. The song is bursting with laid back rhythms and melodies that can easily make this song the next hit on the indie charts.
Breeze is an accomplished four-piece group with an average age of 17 among the band. Writing a song like “Eyes Wide Open” usually comes from years of heartbreak experience, to be able to take a look back on the relationship and articulate what you felt at 17 is a huge accomplishment. Breeze calls the song “a snapshot of hazy heartbreak seen through the reddened, bleary and yet open eyes of a teenager”.
“Eyes Wide Open” along with Breeze’s first single “Touch The Sky” are available everywhere for streaming.
