Blackchords return with Dance Dance Dance the first glimpse of the second album
Two years after the release of their critically acclaimed self-titled debut album Blackchords are back, and we couldn’t be more excited! With their releases to date, Blackchords have established a reputation for their introspective lyrics and layered epic Indie which led to favourable comparisons with the likes of Radiohead.
So it seems fitting that just when we’ve got their sound pegged, they go and change things up. Here is a sneak preview of new single ‘Dance Dance Dance’ which is set for release on May 21st. This teaser hints at a more energetic upbeat sound which continues to build on their layered sound but firmly drags them towards the radio friendly hit they deserve.
Blackchords – Dance Dance Dance
With international producing maestro David Odlum at the helm (former guitarist with Irish band The Frames, producer: The Frames, Gemma Hayes, Luka Bloom, Josh Ritter, Tinariwen), Blackchords bunkered down in an isolated barn/improvised studio in Country Victoria for two weeks experimenting with intense time pressure to give greater feeling with less analysis.
Personally we can’t wait to hear more!
