Every time I listen to this band, I cant help but feel that little bit happier. I feel a smile creeping over my face and my toes start to tap, and for those reasons Will And The People are our deserved Band Of The Week.
I first saw and heard Will and The People when they were headlining at Greenman festival, and ever since I have become addicted to their contagious energy and enthusiasm, which is even more infectious live.
The four boys who all live together in London boast spontaneity and variety as their assets and after having just come back from a tour in Asia they are getting set to take Holland by storm in April. With influences from reggae, pop, grunge, ska, and house their totally unique sound provides something for everyone and their ability to mix all the above and develop a style of its own upholds the best part of music, the fun part, whilst remaining true to themselves and creating an individuality difficult to compete with.
It is refreshing and uplifting to see a band have this much fun and energy for what they do, they are just having a good time doing what they love. A simple yet enviable state of affairs that we all desire; a luxury we may not always be able to achieve, but when we can’t, we can put on Will and The People and feel a little bit better!
If you like what you hear, you can get your hands on two EPs and an album here. Or you can catch them during their UK tour (dates tbc). Or, you can do both and can read our interview with the guys later on in the week!
