Ash Radford chooses to face his challenges in his new Hispanic fusion/retro rock song All Night.
Ash Radford – All Night
Merging an electric guitar-led soundscape with a Latin acoustic groove, All Night, the new single by Ash Radford, creates a warm and inviting tune, perfect for a summer night on the beach. His aching, high-pitched vocals bring some of that dramatic classic rock feel that so perfectly fits a song about yearning for carnal love in a performance reminiscent of Chris Isaak’s bluesy ballad Wicked Game.
Radford, however, sounds more hopeful that his desire is about to come into fruition. Elsewhere, a line such as “When pain is the medicine, you’ve got to let it in” would almost certainly imply a goodbye kiss. Instead, here our bard has chosen to stay and suffer what consequences may come. “After the bitter comes a bright light”, adds he, sure that love will eventually show the way. In the marriage of sounds, the rock bit (vocals included) builds an aching atmosphere, conveying both the pain of the wait and the awareness that choosing each other will require fighting and sacrifice, while the Hispanic vibes bring in a sensual feel, expressing the sheer joy of this encounter.
Ash Radford has long spent his time hopping from city to city across different continents. After spending part of his childhood in Jersey, he has lived in New Zealand, South Africa, Australia, Ibiza and now divides his time between London and Lisbon. All night is the second single off his EP “Terra Santa” (Portuguese for “Holy Land”). Recorded in Prague, the release promises to build upon this retro, classic sound, fusing influences from 70s rock, folk and alt-pop.
