Making her official debut, Brazilian promise Aduda has unveiled a striking new pop track about insecurities and self-esteem called Makeup Bag in the hope that her bold lyrical approach can inspire others experiencing similar issues.
Aduda – Makeup Bag
Early in her youth, Aduda developed a special appreciation for English language songs thanks to her mom, subsequently, she discovered the power that words can have, not only as a way to express herself but also as a way to motivate others. Her first musical steps started with her writing poetry, later on, she expanded her musicianship even further by learning how to play guitar, piano, and ukulele.
Aduda draws her inspiration from some of the pop titans in the mainstream scene, like Taylor Swift, Charlie Puth, Ed Sheeran, Khalid, and Tove Lo
Diving deeper into the creation of this melody, Aduda explains:
“I never really had a social life when I was younger and found a way to escape my reality by writing whatever came to my mind and keeping it to myself. But on Makeup Bag, the lyrics and the melody came at the same time in my head, so I turned it into a song instead.”
And what a way to deliver such an important message! Aduda’s sugary vocals are pleasant to the ear, bringing honesty within the lyrics and a beat that is as uplifting as it gets. Worth noticing is the upfront songwriting, not shying away from being viscerally sincere.
Explicit yet universally relatable, Makeup Bag is a hymn for the insecure and the introverted.
Despite just having one song in her discography, Aduda has already attracted over 40,000 monthly listeners and over 60,000 streams confirming the undisputed talent of this young newcomer.
