Oscar Jerome has been honing his craft as a musician and writer since a young age. Initially from Norwich, Oscar later relocated to study jazz guitar at London’s Trinity Laban Conservatoire of Music where he began working as a vocalist, guitarist and composer with countless acts. Oscar’s profile grew via the thriving South London music scene, gathering support via nights such as Steez. He then went on to release his debut self-titled EP in 2016, (including the Huw Stephens supported single ‘Give Back What You Stole from Me’) featuring percussion from Moses Boyd (of Binker & Moses) and production from Maxwell Owin.
In his solo project Jerome brings all of his influences together, citing artists such as Gil Scott-Heron, George Benson, John Martyn, The Clash, Ali Farka Toure and Jay Dilla. Oscar’s songwriting is motivated by politics, spirituality within music and life experiences. His creative vision is to always make music with sincerity and pay homage to his countless inspirations. Oscar will perform throughout summer, taking in festival dates at Citadel and Glastonbury.
