Nostalgia Bias make a statement, not just in their dynamic, genre-evading sound, but with a powerful message on stunning second single ‘CROWS CROWS CROWS’.
Nostalgia Bias – Crows, Crows, Crows
Four months after their debut, Gloucester-based ‘Nostalgia Bias’ were featured on BBC Introducing in the West with their newest release ‘CROWS CROWS CROWS’. Following the politically charged ‘As I Lay Today To Waste’, ‘CROWS CROWS CROWS’ is in a similar vein. Described by the band as ‘A gripping exploration of moral compromise and complicity – how people turn a blind eye when it serves them’, this track carries the same energy and passion as its predecessor.
With a variety of influences from Kate Bush to Deftones; the five-piece falls somewhere in between, creating a sound that’s uniquely their own. Droning, delicate vocals deliver a shoegazey resonance that’s layered with the thunderous and emotive instrumentation of punk-rock, ‘CROWS CROWS CROWS’ blurs the lines between genres.
“Intense and mesmerising, this unique dynamic sound makes ‘CROWS CROWS CROWS’ a track that only can be described as ethereal.”
Already having claimed a vital spot in the local scene through performing at venues such as ‘The Exchange’ and ‘Smokey Joe’s’, Nostalgia Bias are definitely headed for more great things.
