Morning Horror, a collaboration between Brassie and producer Hahlweg, introduce their debut track, the haunting Out For Blood.
Morning Horror – Out For Blood
Morning Horror is an alternative duo formed by singer-songwriter Brassie and producer Hahlweg. Both artists have established themselves individually, but after meeting at a Seeking Blue writing camp, their creative chemistry became impossible to ignore.
Brassie has built a strong presence as both a solo artist and a sought-after vocalist. Her collaborations include Vanic on Annihilation and Jinx, both of which have amassed hundreds of thousands of streams. Additionally, her work with We Are Fury on Crown has surpassed 2 million plays on Spotify.
The other half of this intriguing duo is Hahlweg, a renowned producer whose primary focus has been scoring music for gaming, film, and television. His impressive body of work includes producing music for major trailers, such as Alien: Romulus, A24’s I Saw the TV Glow, and Apple TV’s Severance. His experience in creating immersive soundtracks for visual media brings a cinematic, atmospheric quality to Morning Horror’s music, contributing to its dark and suspenseful edge
Taking a darker and more intense direction, their debut single as Morning Horror, Out For Blood, showcases the best of both artists. Brassie shares their primary goal:
“I hope listeners are able to release some of their grief, rage, and any other difficult emotions they may be experiencing and the music can expand their capacities to have fun and be silly sometimes in spite of everything.”
With a dark, anxiety-driven production that builds intense anticipation, Out For Blood pairs trap beats with Brassie’s sharp verses to create a distinct and gripping atmosphere. The track ends with haunting screams followed by the distant sound of crickets, leaving plenty of room for the imagination. Though brief, this song is a perfect introduction to the dynamic collaboration between the two artists and the potential of their sound.
Out For Blood is a visceral and gutsy track— brief yet strikingly captivating.
With more music and an EP on the way, Morning Horror is certainly on the prowl—what they’re after might be more than just blood.
