Known in the indie music scene for her distinctive interpretation of R&B, newcomer Moniah has chosen to explore a fresh direction with her latest indie pop single, Sweet Escape.

Born and raised in London, Moniah is an emerging artist recognized for her introspective lyricism and genre-blending sound. Inspired by artists such as Billie Eilish, Hope Tala, Raye, and Cat Burns, her music explores themes of self-expression, freedom, and authenticity.
Moniah’s passion for music ignited at a young age; by the time she was nine, she was already singing and writing her own songs. However, it was in 2017 that she took a significant step forward by participating in songwriting bootcamps and retreats, which greatly enhanced her skills and refined her craft.
Some notable highlights of Moniah’s emerging career include having four singles featured on various radio stations, such as BBC 1Xtra, BBC 6 Music, Croydon FM, Hoxton Radio, and No Signal Radio. In addition, she has received support from several music outlets, including Dummy Mag, Wordplay Magazine, Niji Magazine, We Plug Good Music, and Atwood Magazine, among others.
After solidifying her presence as a skilled R&B artist, Moniah has chosen to embrace a more indie-oriented style in her latest single, Sweet Escape. Produced by Tim Blok, this track delves into themes of breaking free from societal pressures, pursuing love, and fully embracing the present moment.
Fueled by melancholy-infused guitar chords that blend seamlessly with an infectious upbeat rhythm, Sweet Escape is both beautiful and deeply emotional. Moniah’s rich vocals add an extra layer of sentimentality to the melody. Together, these perfectly balanced elements create a compelling sense of liberation and escape.
