His live performances, marked by electrifying energy, saw him sharing stages with luminaries like Jake Bugg, The Stereophonics, and The Human League.

With Flying, Neilson returns to the independent scene with an explosive anthem that tackles the sensitive subject of mental health with his signature artistic flair.
Talking about the meaning of the song Neilson explains.
“Flying delves into suicidal thought as a form of escapist fantasy – exploring mental health through dark projections as a form of levity and grounding. The lyric ‘all is fleeting, nothing’s gonna break me down’ encapsulates the whole track’s sentiment as concisely as I can manage“.
The track’s instrumentation takes listeners on a journey, starting with a serene piano introduction and Neilson’s soothing vocals, before erupting into a gritty chorus filled with powerful riffs and pulsating drums, creating a captivating rock spectacle.
Flying serves as a thought-provoking exploration of the mind’s complexities, resonating with listeners on a deeply emotional level. Neilson’s unique perspective infuses the song with authenticity and depth, making it a compelling addition to his repertoire.
After a year-long hiatus, Neilson’s return with Flying proves to be well worth the wait. As we embark on the journey of 2024, anticipation mounts for the surprises Neilson has in store, promising an exciting chapter in his musical evolution.
