Jack Hyphen ends the year with a dose of Happiness.
Jack Hypen – Happiness
Hailing from the vibrant city of Manchester, UK, Jack Hyphen is a Midlands-based songwriter, guitarist, singer, and performer. His music consistently blends alternative rock, indie pop, and melodic acoustic elements, resulting in a dynamic and vivid sound that defies easy categorization. Jack’s eclectic style has rightfully earned him a reputation as a remarkably versatile artist.
Having bravely left behind his full-time job to embark on his artistic journey, Jack marked a significant milestone with a sold-out EP launch at Sacred Trinity Church in Salford, drawing an enthusiastic crowd of attendees. This success was mirrored in a subsequent event at Tribeca in the heart of Manchester.
Jack draws inspiration from a diverse array of musical influences, including the likes of Bloc Party, Two Door Cinema Club, Alt J, Bombay Bicycle Club, and Erykah Badu.
Jack’s latest musical endeavour takes shape in the form of Happiness, arguably his most existential piece to date. Thematically, the melody challenges societal norms surrounding happiness, delivered with Jack’s trademark cynical songwriting.
The track is masterfully complemented by infectious instrumentation that captures the internal conflict associated with these existential questions, featuring groovy guitar riffs and a pulsating rhythm section that invites listeners to tap their feet to its irresistible catchiness. Notably, the song incorporates crowd voice notes from two of Jack’s previous concerts, deliberately emphasizing that the pursuit of happiness is a shared journey.
“Happiness is an introspective voyage, striking a perfect balance between thought-provoking lyrics and infectious melodies.”
To bring 2023 to a spectacular close, this skilled performer is gearing up for a headline gig on December 7th at Night & Day Manchester – an unmissable show for music enthusiasts and fans alike!
