PARAFFIN Shine Bright On ‘White Light’

British indie rockers PARAFFIN, unleash the infectious ‘White Light’.

Comprised of Tyler Adams (guitar), Tom Chapman (guitar), Tim Beavis (bass), Jake Saunders (Percussion), and Billy Tee (vocals), PARAFFIN emerged on the scene just after the pandemic with the hard-hitting singles ‘Mean’ and ‘Call Me Over’. Now, the band returns with the intense, indie anthem  ‘White Light’. 

Fuzzy, gritty riffs kick off the proceedings, while the cleaner verses drive the song forward. The riff-heavy attack then returns for the choruses, and the song really shines — boasting the distinctive, somewhat tormented delivery of vocalist Billy Tee.

Lyrically, the song deals with the negative effects of social media on human interactions. While the theme is certainly not unexplored, it is undoubtedly a great fit for the song’s incisive, near-punkish assault. 

Crashing at just under the three-minute mark, the song epitomizes much of the style PARAFFIN proposes, with dirty-sounding riffs combined with utterly catchy hooks. ‘White Light’ further establishes the group as one to watch. With gigs scheduled for the forthcoming months, the band is building significant momentum. Make sure to keep your ears open for this promising Portsmouth quintet.
