The Dirty Mitts can be described as many things, a conglomerate of musicians from three different countries, a skilled band with a knack for crafting timeless music, or simply a group of friends with a goal in common, keeping the spirit of classic Rock and Roll alive! All these things are present in their new banger, Ball & Chain.
Dirty Mitts – Ball & Chain
This four-piece is composed of Tommy (singer), Matt (bass player), Mo (guitarist), and Mateusz (drums). The fascinating thing about this collective is that they hail from Poland, Egypt, and the UK, with music being the one factor capable of bringing them all together in 2022, like a team of superheroes gathering to accomplish their mission and that is to dazzle audiences with their retro-infused Rock sound.
For any person that yearns for the golden days of Classic Rock, Dirty Mitts will definitely fulfil all their old-school needs. Ball & Chain features hard-hitting riffs, infectious drum beats, and over-the-top vocals, reminiscing something you would hear on the radio during those good old times.
With a crystal clear influence from one of their favourite bands, The Rolling Stones, this track is about a toxic relationship. Further discussing these topics, Tommy says:
“A rather optimistic thought crossed our minds – maybe we’d be caught in some scandalous lawsuit in which the Stones would secretly try to steal our song and pass it off as their own. The searing vocals and catchy tune mean the public would never suspect a thing, obviously… The song is about a toxic relationship. It’s passionate and addictive, but the blood pumping through his veins isn’t just desire, it’s poison too. Fire can be beautiful but it bloody hurts if you get too close“
Ball & Chain is a mind-blowing homage flawlessly performed.
While still a rising band, they already count on some experience playing live. Their wild performances and impactful songs have enough charm to please old and new Rock fans alike, making this a band you won’t be able to get out of your head, and as Dirty Mitts say: “You can scrub and scrub, but the Dirt just won’t come off!”
